Information for players


  • Players arrive at 9AM for check in. Team captains will grab informational packets for their team.

  • At 10AM, there will be a captains meeting to go over the rules one more time. Captains are expected to pass this information along to teammates so everyone knows what the ref will be calling.

  • Games begin at 10AM, right after the captain’s meeting. All teams must be ready to go by then.

  • Teams will stay on one court for the duration of the tournament, where they will play through their pool, round robin style.

  • Games are to 21 or 15 based on pool size. Games are untimed.



4’s Rules

  • No sandbagging. If your team is deemed to be intentionally sandbagging, you will be moved to the proper division.

  • No tipping.

  • Open hand receiving IS permitted - even on serve reception.

  • Setting the ball over the net must be dead still and square to the target. No sideways sets over the net. Ball cannot be doubled.

  • Players do not need to rotate positions. However, players can switch spots at any time.

  • No 10 foot line fault - Back row attacker CAN approach the net.

  • Insane doubles will be illegal


By popular demand, our grass 4’s series will continue this September! If you played last weekend, you know how awesome it was. We will be running three divisions this time around to accommodate all levels of skill a bit better than last time.

Find your division and sign up to lock in your spot. You will be guaranteed at least 6 UNTIMED pool play games, with room to add games if time allows. Every team will make the playoffs as well. If you have any questions, please reach out to Austin @ 716-807-7861.
This time, the grills will not be accessible, as the fire hall switches to chowder season. However, this does not mean that you will go hungry!
We have decided to set up a food drive for a local organization. If you bring a canned good or non-perishable food item, you will be given a food ticket that is good for one hotdog, a bag of chips, and a drink. We want to give back to our community and also provide some food to our players. This event is still BYOB and BYO food if you want to do so!
We hope to see all of you out on the grass for one final send off before our indoor tournament series starts.
